Job Profile
Carla Silva graduated in Biological Engineering at Minho University in 1996, attained her Masters in Industrial Biotechnology in 1999 and her PhD in Textile Chemistry at Minho University in 2005.
Since 2007 she has been working as a senior researcher in CeNTI (Centre for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials in Portugal), being currently the Chief Technology officer of that Institution.
With more than 18 years of experience in applied and industry oriented research, 6 granted patents and more than 35 published papers in peer reviewed journals, she is responsible for the management and coordination of several R&D projects covering various research topics.
