Job Profile
Carmen is the Secretary General of the European Footwear Confederation (CEC)in Brussels since 2012. CEC is the umbrella organisation gathering the major national footwear associations in Europe. It addresses a broad range of European policy issues and projects to support the sector in anticipating challenges andgraspingopportunitiesin order to promote its competitiveness and growth. CEC dedicates special attention to education & training of current and future workers, who represent the main asset of this creative industry.
Carmen’s professional experience includes other positions in the private (as consultant in multinationals, Ernst & Young and Deloitte) as well as public sectors,at European and regional level (European Commission and Valencian Regional Government Office in Brussels). She holds a BA in Law anda MBA in Company Tax Law from the IE Business School in Madrid.
